many thanks to those who wnet to the meeting last night.

it was great to see Tux in person too. (i must get one for my kids ;-)
we had informal discussions around Knoppix, Hardware compatibilties,
GIMP, Audio/Music software, Content Management Systems ~ Mambo, as well
as catch up on what we have been learning over the break.
for the next few meetings we agreed a focus for the meetings as follows:
Weds: February 4th : Mambo and the Lugog Website (Sean)
Weds: March 3rd : The GIMP (Duncan and Steve)
Weds: March 31st: (because of Easter break) : Linux Security, Firewalls
and Monitoring (Martin, Sean, Tim?)
Weds: May 5th: Rosegarden and audio applications on Linux. (Steve, Tim?)
(I will invite Richard Bown http://www.bownie.com to this one as he has
just moved to Taunton)
if i have missed out any other items we discussed then let me know and i
will plan them into the calendar. i have a great book Multitool Linux
which has some interesting things to try with Linux.
the command line and the boot up process is one i know we talked about.
anyway,
keep in touch,
