Err .. have you tried googling for diagnostic tools?  Or similar?


Try:   man top
        man ps
        man lsof
        man netstat     etc.

then google for all those lovely point'n'drool system monitoring tools 
that simply *have* to be out there -- sysadmins just *love* piccies.

Then come back to the list and tell us all about them!
