You're jumping to conclusions. I'll probably come and have a look sometime 
this month. I hardly have time to answer my emails these days, let alone hang 
out on irc.

Have patience. It's a great idea.
Most irc channels only have one or two people hanging out on them, it's a fact 
of life. OK, so some are so busy the text scrolls off the top of the screen 
before you've had a chance to read it, these channels have been around for 
some time or were created to deal with a really hot topic. Don't be put off 
if it starts slowly.
