Heh, I installed Debian on all machines at work - if on occasion I am
actually logged in to W2K then I fire up a full screen vnc Debian
session instead.

In that case you either use hardly any really "meaty" packages or have
the voodoo Microsoft spirits on your side.

So you're not using multiple profiles which require manual replication
then?

installed?

Try adding a Radeon All In Wonder card to your machine, or USB devices
to W2K, or trying to hotplug with W2K (which is broken - yes I know
there are warnings but that's not my point, on Debian you can just
unplug a device).

It's not defending "Linux" that I'm doing here - merely ensuring
continued Microsoft bashing at every opportunity, as they righfully
deserve.
