If you mean mapped drives, the "reconnect on boot" bit is broken in NT
(and 2K I guess).  The way to do it is to use the commandline "net use"
command:

net use d: \\server\share password

I have a bunch of these in a batch file in my startup directory to connect
me to the right places when I log on.  It does mean you get a DOS prompt
flashing up and closing more or less straight away - but hey, what do you
do if you have an OS that won't background properly.

[or, of course, reformat the disk and install linux ;-) ]
