It's mainly web stuff I use it for (to create graphics for a site I manage)
... I occasionally use it for printing out photos and d/loaded JPG's. Oh
yeah I have a USB scanner which I use through PSP (though I'd imagine that
Linux would have something to deal with that).

I tend to use letters and 3D effects to give them a more solid feel and
make the web site more interesting. I occasionally use some of the other
effects such as blur.
