That is impossible.

THe reason that Apache can do this is that the name is sent in the connect
request so it can work out what site is what, etc.

The FTP protocol does not do this, it opens a porn on an IP. Nothing more
clever.

If you want virtual FTP servers, you have to do it by multiple IP's per NIC.
