Yes, but mainly so I can get the server to automatically send me an
email if there are problems or something.
The machine is remotely located so I'm thinking users with shell
accounts will use their ISP's mailserver to send out mail but be able to
pick up pop3 emails from the server.

Just for itself, it's just a standalone webserver with some other
servers on the machine as well e.g. mailserver.
