Have just installed sharity-lite but am having the same problems 
re-exporting via NFS. NFS is now giving these errors:
Nov  9 11:39:07 wingnut rpc.mountd: export request from  
Nov  9 11:39:25 wingnut rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from 
:850 for /mnt/tmp (/mnt/tmp)

drat time to get into the nitty-gritty of NFS setup I think.
