If i have an nfs filesystem (e.g. server:/pub ) mounted on a local client
(say as /import) do file operations such as copying which only relate to the
remote fs result in data travelling to the client and back to the server, or
is nfs 'intelligent' enough to to do the copy directly on the remote machine?
How about two file systems (say server:/pub and server:/private) which are
separately mounter to the same client (on, say, host1:/public and
host1:/private)?
Lastly, if I mount server1:/pub and server2:/private onto a single client
(asy as host1:/pub and host:1/private) would a copy between the two transfer
the data via the host, or directly between the two servers?
