As there shouldn't be. /dev/modem is usually a symlink to the appropriate
serial device. However, it should never be used as it defeats locking.
Use the correct device name (e.g., /dev/ttyS0) instead. /dev/modem was
one of those ill thought out additions made by someone that didn't fully
understand the issues.
