This is from the lynx man-page on my system:
-stdin read the startfile from standard input (UNIX only).
Arwen:~$ lynx --version
Lynx Version 2.8.4rel.1 (17 Jul 2001)
Built on linux-gnu Aug 20 2001 21:57:30
My potato-machine does not have it though.
