[Gllug] rsync

can someone else confirm something for me regarding rsync?
the option --timeout appears to terminate an active connection after this
specified period of time, even tho there is traffic.

from reading the man page, this is not what its supposed todo.

any hints about what might be going wrong, or do i have to go look at the
source?
