[Gllug] del/backspace in 'write'

hey

I am *sure* I managed once to use the delete key to kill a mistyped char
when I used "write" once, but I can't do it anymore. I did something like
ctrl-shift-delete (not backspace) or something...

Am I dreaming, is my keyboard map fubared (gb, X4.1) or is it possible?
