	isengard:~% script
	Script started, file is typescript
	isengard:~% telnet localhost
	Trying 127.0.0.1...
	telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
	isengard:~% exit
	exit
	Script done, file is typescript

The output is in the file "typescript" in the currect directory.
