HSCSD is a channelised data circuit.  You can set it at 9600, 14.4 both
ways 28.8 both ways or 43.2/14.4 asynchronous.  AFAIK only orange were
supporting this during the period I purchased them.  I also believe that
they don't support 43.2/14.4 yet.

It's 5pounds extra a month IIRC for the data access.

Yup irda modem works fine, need to set AT commands for different HSCSD
modes though.  This is in the docs though.
