read http://www.linuxjournal.com//article.php?sid=6021 from slashdot.org
today.
think that sounds very interesting and could be very fun as well.
the only thing is that it would cost money, money on one really has.
so i sent off an email to ukonline.co.uk
"hello
i just read http://www.linuxjournal.com//article.php?sid=6021 about
volunteers recyling old computer hardware and using it to help the Chilean
expedition to study ozone depletion, keeping Mir in space far longer than it
was designed for etc, they also provide traning for people who can't afford
traning or school, they donate "recycled" computers to schools etc.
i think sounds like a very good idea and it would be great to be able to
spend your spare time helping others while learning new things.
i'm curious to whether the government would sponsor/fund something like
this?
the main thing that is needed is a building to store all the equipment and
electricity for this place.
thanks in advance"
probably not the best text/language/sentences, but i'm swedish so i have a
reason ;o)
if funding was granted (yes, i know it's a far reach, but still), would
anyone be interested in helping out?
/ d
