Could some clever kernel hacker tell me if CURRENT should be considered
read-only in a 2.4 kernel? I have some code, i'm attempting to port
from 2.2, in one function the code grabs the io_request_lock and then
sets CURRENT from a variable.
I'd like to know which way i should approach this from.
BTW, i have read file:///root.mdk/www.xml.com/ldd/chapter/book/ch12.html
and it's still not clear in my mind.
TIA,
-v
