Chris

I had a similar situaiton with NTL whereby they blocked my account
because they were able to see more than one MAC address. Installed some
NAT hw + sw and problem solved !

Hope this helps !

Chris

Subject: [Gllug] Telewest T & C

Hello,

I have been asked by someone with an Apple Mac connected via Telewest
1G
cable whether two computers can be connected to the same feed. I gather
that
the connection and setup was done by Telewest. The person is completely
non-technical, but has been told by Telewest that they would need a
complete
duplicate installation and fee. The only paperwork they have is a form
which
lists the MAC address of the cable termination box and the MAC address
of a
NIC. I was considering installing a Linux firewall running masquerading
and
proxy services for as many computers as they wish to connect, so I
looked at
the Telewest/BlueYonder web site, but did not find any useful
information on
their terms and conditions. Does anyone have any more information?
Thanks.
