There appear to be several contributors to this and other lists who have
a very short memory, and are unable to remember that they were newbies once.
This may also be affected by the way that some people have received
carefully scheduled instruction in some kind of educational establishment,
while others have to pick their way through the huge amount of documentation
available the best way they are able, from where ever they happen to have
started. It does not help to tell them that they should not have started
from there.
