If you're going to shell out money, I highly recommend a visit to
http://www.quietpc.com.  My desktop at home has a quiet psu, quiet cpu fan
an a hard disk enclosure.   Means I can leave it on all the time and go to
sleep not worrying about it (luckly all the really noisy machines - the
servers - are in a seperate room)
