On this one, the exam for the RHCT, what does it cover and how do you go
about studying for that? Books or classroom only?
Thanks
Neil

Hi Ivan,
I work as an instructor for Red Hat, so I am biased, but what I can say
about the certifications from Red Hat, is that they are recognised by
most companies as the best Linux certification there is. Well, that can
be said for the RHCE, the RHCT is a subset of that, and we haven't
really started giving that exam yet (first exam will be 17/01/03).
All I can say is that LPI and the other Linux certifications tests your
theoretical skills, the RHCT and RHCE test your ability/experience. The
exam for RHCT is 3 hours, for RHCE is 6 hours.

You can never get it wrong by being certified. What (the right)
cerifications will do is open the door for you, whether you get the job
is depending on what you can do. But opening the door is difficult
these days, so...
If you have any questions about RHCT/RHCE, feel free to email me.
