I find it absolutely invaluable, wireless / hardwired ethernet, ssh, 
mutt - the list goes on. 

I have all the utilities I would have on my desktop and can log into any 
of my machines or provide technical support from anywhere using the 
Zaurus and the IR on my phone if not near a network.

I also have one of the few ogg players available to play music with a 
Gig of local storage and I have had half a terabyte of music and stuff 
using nfs :-)

I await the next incarnation with excitement.
