The theory still holds, agreed. But edition 2 doesn't even cover bind8,
and you really shouldn't be running bind4 any more. I suppose that the
theory chapters combined with the online documentation supplied with
bind8/9 wouldn't be too bad as long as you realise that the book is
seriously out of date.
