I am pro-Anarchy when it comes to moderating content. If people are
that fed up with social / OT stuff, maybe we should all mark them
with OT (or something). This way everyone who does not want *any*
non-Linux/GLLUG related posts can filter them out by themselves.

IMHO GLLUG - and Lonix for this matter - are so great because we are
not just a bunch of technofreaks but we are geeks and love our cold
beer, hot pizza and all that stuff! I admit to not having a social
life but without the occasional GLLUG / LONIX meet - where would I be?

And of course it's a great forum to get your arse kicked for asking
silly questions too =)

I don't really use the website much but maybe interested people could
lend a hand and make it into something they like better?

,,,crazy thought here but maybe, just maybe it will find some ground:

How about renting our own little place where people can hang out, have
lectures, use computers and all?

There are sooo many people on GLLUG / LONIX (must be around 500ppl)...
if everyone would give - let's say - a tenner a month to pay for it
we could have a great location (king of a charity shop with computers,
cafe and beer).

But then, that would be too outrageous and may never happen ;)
