Aren't these ones that run a proper RiscOS? If these are the ones I'm 
thinking of, you can bring up a BASIC prompt and start coding in good ol' 
Risc-BASIC (essentially BBC BASIC). Remember to set "MODE 7" to make the text 
readable.
