RMS, if I recall, would have looked quite at home sitting in a tube station
asking passers-by for spare change. He entered the (rather small) room and
after a little while announced that he'd really prefer to take off his boots
and give his talk bare-foot. He could really have used a pedicure.

Physically RMS is a bit on the short side (IIRC) and was sporting a long,
unkempt beard; long, unkempt hair; and a bit of a gut (beautifully
accentuated by a purple t-shirt stretched across it).

I don't recall if he had a woolly jumper.

As for Netscape mail; relax it was only an example.
