Recently we had reason to check up on some fibre put in for us by a
rather dodgy contractor. We noted down the numbers on the cables to
use to find out if it was up to the job it was put in for. Turns out
that it was originally part of a batch ordered by a certain Cable
company for their domestic service network before it mysteriously found
its way into the contractor's hands. Since it is mostly in pipes
running under a car-park between two buildings, replacing it is going to
be an unfun job.

footwear makes it easy to trap and kill. -- Harry Hill
