[Gllug] Pesky KDE Panel App

Hi,

While playing around exploring KDE2.2, I've ended up with the news-ticker app 
on the panel. Unfortunately, it triggers an internet dialup when I log in 
(even though it's set to off-line mode). How do I get rid of it? I can find 
several ways of putting apps on the panel, but none to remove them afterwards!
