[Gllug] [OT] Web hosting

Not strictly linux but:

Has anyone got any recomendations for web hosting?
For now i'm after static pages but the site owner wants to have a searchable
database added to the site at a later date.  The datbase is not going to be
particularly big (< 20mb probably) but we will need build it ourselves and
create all the cgi for accessing it ourselves.
Domain registration is required too but I don't know what the deal is with
getting a name registered and who owns it etc so pointers would be
appreciated.
