Thanks to all for the advice.
Slightly more off topic, I was reading about the congestion charging coming
to London. There are to be no barriers as such, but instead a set of
camera's. They read the number plates, and then check them against a
database of people who've paid for a permit to enter the controlled zone.
All the images are to be stored on worm drives, which I assume is mostly to
ensure they will be allowed as evidence in court [1]. The other interesting
point was that none of the data captured from these camera's is supposed to
travel more than 25 miles outside London.
