[Gllug] Sony Vaio R600MX

Has anybody had success with installing SuSE on the Sony Vaio R600MX
laptop?

When first booting, the system hangs on "activating PCMCIA devices". I
deactivated PCMCIA support with boot parameter "NOPCMCIA=yes", which
seemed to work. But later on in the installation, linux couldn't locate
the CD-ROM drive in the docking station that it had first read from!

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any help appreciated.
