[Gllug] Practical use of iptables

I am having some problems with iptables

If I wanted to restrict access to port 80 and ssh, not just to the server, but 
to any box connected to it - do I use the filter table or the NAT table?

And if I use the NAT table, how do I do it?

And is there anything better out there explaining how it all works that the 
pretty hopless howto?
