Both have their pros and cons. With SCCS, I had to write my own front
end to check things in to allow revision comments to be embedded in the
file, but that's not too hard. With RCS, you don't get to find out if
your revision history is corrupted until you try and check out a given
version, while SCCS picks that up for you immediately.

Both are pretty easy, and if it's a case of investing time, then you
could set aside a day or two and learn both pretty comprehensively.
