[Gllug] tar and future timestamps

I've got a problem with GNU tar ...

tar: Archive contains future timestamp 2002-03-18 15:51:23

and the files fail to extract. There's a clock difference between two
machines that are exchanging data in the form of a tar file, and GNU tar
is refusing to extract the problem files. How can I force GNU tar to
extract these files?

(Yes, there are workarounds - fix the clocks, don't use tar, etc. etc.)
