The only blocking of emails I would condone (apart from spam filtering
(must turn that on again)) is filtering on the client machine based on
personal preferences.  No different to a usenet killfile, it only
affects the person who decides not to read certain posters or threads. 
I only filter out to junk emails on mailing lists on a rare basis simply
because it's more hassle than it's worth going to edit the procmailrc,
though if I reach the level where I'm going to do that the filter stays
there pretty much forever.
