[Gllug] grub and dual booting with windoze xp

Haven't read the original post, but LILO/Grub can boot from above 1024.  
The big limitation for this is more likely going to be BIOS. Older 
bioses had problems with boot sectors above 1024, so maybe an upgrade of 
that might help?  I don't think hardware is an issue at all.
