Oh - that's good to hear. My G400 works with all open stuff, but the
G450 used to require the HAL lib for accelerated 3D - though it's been a
while since I've looked. There was a stage at which I was considering
upgrading to a G550 and a flat panel display (and then I looked at the
price), but at that stage you couldn't get DVI output without the binary
only crap. Like you, I've no real interest in TV-out, which has always
been problematic because of the Macrovision situation, but I would like
to know if anyone's using/knows of a good DVI capable card that does not
require closed source drivers.
