[Gllug] FreeMWare alternative to VMWare?

Luvvies,

Apparently there's a free (speech) alternative to VMWare floating about, or 
there was at one point, called FreeMWare. Does anyone know about it, or has 
anyone had any luck with it, or anything of its ilk? A cursory Google search 
turns up a load of old/dead links...
