I is probably easier to do a grep on the logs for todays date it you are 
looking for a quick and dirty solution.  Or even a wc -l, exim and 
others use a standard number of lines for each mail.

I seem to remember postfix having a few logs, it is a couple of years 
since I last used postfix.  I cannot recall where they were :-|
