That's purely learned behaviour. Web site URLs start with a "www",
so people will type them, no matter what you say. Hint: that's what
CNAMEs are for:

	loki% host www.morethancard.com
	www.morethancard.com    CNAME   morethancard.com
	morethancard.com        A       213.86.45.119
