I've been following the mozilla releases for ages now and (keeping up
to date enables me to contibute via the odd bug report)
I've been very pleased with the stability generally
this is the first time I have seen a bug bad enough to make me downgrade
(actually I am still using 1.2b here - buyt I downgraded at work)
it's just unforunate for me that this particular bug seems to be
affecting relatively few people and so is less likely to be fixed :(
