Two things

1) smoking is allowed in most pubs

2) some people prefer not to take alcohol

One model is to have talk in a meeting room (could be above the pub 
in the function room?) and the move to the pub.

Which I know happens.

I have organized a few in the dim distance past (meetings at UCL for 
the UKUUG London LUG) for Andrew Findlay.
