Are you trying to install from scratch, or just update some modules?

You can do the latter from Yast2

Obviously you don't need the main install cd since you imply you have it.

If you want to simulate an local directory, even if its an actual ftp site, 
use the automounter!

configure /etc./auto.misc  by consulting autofs(5)
