[Gllug] Seeking old thread - resources for arguments against spam

ISTR there was a thread some time ago, someone wanted some resources to
argue against a decision for mass mailing/uce.  I can't remember when
this was, possibly even sometime last year :(

I've done a quick google for gllug with various combinations of keywords
- spam,uce,bulk etc.  But no joy.

So I'm currently trying a number of tactics:

1) slurping down the entire mbox archive.
2) does anyone know the thread I mean and can point me at it in the
archive
