Yep, the problem is Mozilla's broken profile handling. It won't let you
have the same profile open by multiple instances of the browser, because
they corrupt each other.

I wrote a small patch for the mozilla launcher script, to partially
work around this (attached). Unfortunately, it doesn't fix the two
cases where this bites me most:

- I have a dual headed machine (non-Xinerama), and you can't start up
  mozilla on both screens
- When I'm running mozilla at home, and I'm also ssh'ed into work. If
  I try and launch mozilla from work as well, and display on my home
  X server, then it just launches a new window frmo the home moz, rather
  than actually starting a remote moz.

I have to keep a copy of mozilla-1.0rc2 lying around because that's the
last version that works properly. This is by far the biggest issue I
have outstanding with mozilla. *Please* take the time to vote for it
in bugzilla, so that it gets given a suitable high priority, and gets
fixed:
