Why anybody expect instant response ?
On that chanell you can ask guys that are there, but sometimes they
don't have a time to answer. Or are just asking guys also.
My expierences with lkml and #kernelnewbies (on irc.kernelnewbies.org)
are different. I've posted few my drivers on list, few bug reports and a
patch. For some of them i had really good response, and silence for
others. Anyway, i didn't expect much.
