Compile it? But it's 100% Tcl. If nothing else, you should be able
to take the "binary" RPM, and rpm2cpio it to extract it on Debian.
Or use Alien, but I don't know how well that works.

BTW, I agree -- there's nothing these days that comes close to ical
in terms of features and easy of use. Gnomecal was looking promising
for a while (although it still had a way to go), but then they
discontinued it and recommended people use Evolution instead. D'oh!
How to shoot yourself in the foot in 1 easy step. If I wanted a
calendar app with a 110MB memory footprint, I'd be looking straight
to Redmond...
