I run Linux Consultants Ltd and occassionally do this type of work (well 
all the time if you count support contracts).

Hourly rates may be a serious mistake as that may be seen as a strong 
indicator that you are employed by the client for tax purposes or are 
caught by IR35 if you operate via your own company.

It is much better to either offer a task rate - ie £x for setting up a 
firewall or web server, etc.

Support rates are entirely dependant upon what you are supporting and what 
level of support you are offering.

How much you should charge for these things is entirely a question of the 
value you place on your time and skills.

If you have been managing Linux/BSD/etc systems for years your rates may 
be higher than if you've just left college.
