[Gllug] Strange MP3 problem

On this track of progtastic rock (it's just a 30 second clip to demonstrate
the point):

I encoded this with bladenc a long time ago, but there seem to be
problems playing it. It plays fine in xmms and mpg123, but fails in
mpg321 and most importantly my lovely new Slimp3 player. You just
get silence.

I'm sure there's something wrong with the track or the way that
bladenc encoded it originally, but what is it? Is there any simple way
to fix it?

Unfortunately I've got hundreds of tracks like this and I'm not
particularly keen to have to reencode them, particularly since my CD
drive is fscked and periodically crashes the computer.
